MOUNTAIN BIKE TOUR: LA HERRADURA
We begin our ride right from the bike shop in downtown Vallarta. We'll warm up with a nice spin following the gorgeous Rio Cuale for 5K, where we'll pass through the small, colorful pueblos of Paso Ancho, Paso del Guayabo, and Los Almacenes. From Los Almacenes, we will begin a quick, steep, and sometimes tricky 4K climb. You'll be amazed at the dense tropical jungle we find ourselves in: macaws, coatis, and if the climb doesn't have you breathing too loudly: deer. From the top, we'll enjoy a spectacular view of the Bay of Banderas before we start our exhilarating downhill ride.
his technical descent will challenge and excite the most advanced of riders with roots, rocks, and sand. It's a white-knuckle adventure that will keep you on your toes the entire way down! 15 minutes later, we'll be cooling off in the crystal clear waters of the Rio Cuale at a spot so stunningly beautiful you won't believe your eyes. After resting and enjoying the incredible scenery, we'll make our way back along a flat, technical singletrack along the river until we reach Los Almacenes again. From there, we'll wrap it all up with a nice 5K cool down back to the bike shop.

COMMENTS FROM OUR CLIENTS:
“Herradura Route”
A great experience all around. Quick responses to emails, a greeting at the shop by name and all the staff were extremely accommodating. Although it was a small group you got the sense that they treated all the bikers with fantastic customer service. They ensured that you were comfortable at all times, checked to make sure what you needed, gloves, water, washroom etc. Our guide Anibal made recommendations before the start of each leg of the route, gears, seat height, etc.

"Exciting Downhill"
This ride was the perfect length for me while on vacation. It had a little bit of everything and the downhill was definitely tricky at times, which I love. The river at the bottom is a great way to cool down your muscles after a good workout. I will definitely be back to ride with these guys again."
